Studies show that calling our representatives directly remains one of the most impactful ways to enact change. But for those most directly impacted by our country’s gun laws - the thousands of innocent lives lost to gun violence each year - calling is not an option. So we created The Shotline.

Working closely with the families of shooting victims across the country, we used AI technology to recreate the voices of their children. These AI voices are now able to call members of Congress and share their stories of how they were shot and killed by guns, as well as demand representatives to make a change.

The centerpiece of the campaign is TheShotline.Org. On this platform, anyone from around the country can type in their zip code to send one of the AI voice phone calls to their specific representative.

I wrote the script for Uzi Garcia’s phone call, who was 10 when he was killed at Robb  Elementary School in Uvalde, TX in 2022.

The Shotline is the first-ever instance of using AI to hammer the phone lines of Congress. We did the unthinkable by bringing back the voices of the dead to make calls that our representatives could no longer ignore.
